Social Enterprise

CCYP had successfully been awarded funding to support the Centre to diversify the opportunities they offer, to increase profits, whilst maximising positive impacts the young people using the Centre, local businesses, and the Community it serves.

The profits generated will primarily be used to fund social programs for young people. The aim and objective of the Social Enterprises venture is to focus on benefiting marginalised or economically disadvantaged groups across Torfaen. 

​

The funding will help the centre become financially sustainable, by improving the quality of technological equipment and internet access to enable the Centre to provide rentable space for meetings, training and conferences. The upskilling of staff has also be supported with specialist training development, to better support young people learning at the Centre The improvements of the centre will reestablish the Community Café, the Youth Gym and greater opportunity to provide wider Apprenticeships, Essential Skills support and Jobs Growth Wales opportunities.
