Recent Projects
We work in partnership with young people, communities and partners to facilitate projects which support, develop and empower young people.
Food Pantry Project

We successfully received a grant from Torfaen Community Food Scheme enabling us to run a series of workshops with our JGW+ learners. The workshops ran from September to December in preparation for the Community Christmas Market, hosted here at CCYP. The workshops consisted of a variety of cooking and arts and crafts, utilising locally sourced produce and ingredients.
Community Coming Together

The project has been a great success with 9 different volunteers taking part in our intergenerational skills sharing project which has been crucial for forming positive relationships between differing generations.
National Grid Winter Warmer

The funding enabled us to open the Centre as an open-access warm space for young people who could not afford to heat their homes to come and stay warm five days a week throughout the winter.
Social Enterprise

The funding will help the centre become financially sustainable, by improving the quality of technological equipment and internet access to enable the Centre to provide rentable space for meetings, training and conferences.
Food Bank

Our Foodbank Project provides essential support to young people and families in need, offering access to emergency food parcels and everyday essentials.
We work with local partners to ensure no one in our community goes without. If you need assistance or would like to donate, get in touch and help us make a difference.
Energise

The funding enabled us to buy new gym equipment to bring our gym back into use. It also enabled us to run a ‘Food and Mood’ project, provide yoga and fitness workshops with a trained instructor and provide a six week ‘Resilient Me’ programme focused on wellbeing.
