OPCC

The Office of the Police and Crime Commission within Gwent Police invest monies obtained from the proceeds of Crime under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. The monies are allocated to organisations whose focus is to invest in crime prevention and reductions, as well as supporting the development of young people across the community.

The Centre is the ideal place to offer young people a safe and secure environment, to express themselves, which is central to Cwmbran town centre. Young People  can spend time socialising with friends and access a whole range of support that will help them become ethically informed citizens of the future.

The Centre is a provision where young people can become exposed to activities they wouldn’t necessarily be exposed to if the centre didn’t exist.  The Centre offer a positive alternative to become involved with crime and anti-social behaviour, while also ensuring we are inclusive to all young people across Torfaen. The funding supports the Centres ability to host open access drop-in sessions four nights a week.
