Jobs Growth Wales+ (JGW+) is a fantastic training programme for 16–19-year-olds, who need the skills, qualifications, and experience to progress onto an Apprenticeship, set up your their business or find their dream job. ​
JGW+ means something different to everyone. Whether you’re unsure what to do next or have a clear focus, it’s a unique programme tailored to you. The JGW+ Programme is led by the Welsh Government and supported by the European Social Fund.
What are the benefits of JGW+?
Once you’re signed up to our JGW+ programme, you will:

Earn a training allowance of up to £60 per week.

Receive a meal allowance of up to £19.50 a week.

Support with travel costs.

Receive flexible, tailored and specialist support.

Gain Level 1, route-specific qualifications.

Take part in industry-focused work tasters, placements and enrichment days.

Receive support in finding a quality job, with a local employer.

Jobs Growth Wales + Engagement Strand
21 Hours a Week - 4 Days
Our Jobs Growth Wales+ (JGW+) Engagement strand is a great starting point if you are not sure what you want to do or need some support understanding what your options are. We will identify and address any learning barrier(s) that may prevent you from participating in employment or further learning.
Our tutors will support you and develop an individual learning plan specifically for you and your needs.
Jobs Growth Wales + Advancement Strand
30 Hours a Week - 5 Days
If you have a rough idea of what you want to do, or you have an interest in a particular career, then our Advancement strand is for you. We will work with you on your individual learning plan with specific activities to strengthen your skills, allow you to learn about a subject, and gain a vocational qualification.
